Pirates 2 Preview
Ship pics arrive. Trailer coming soon.
by IGN FilmForce

November 28, 2005 - A series of set pics from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest have sailed online courtesy of the Dark Horizons website. The images show Davy Jones' haunted ship, the Flying Dutchman, from the swashbuckling sequel.

The new trailer for Pirates 2 is slated to premiere on Wednesday's Entertainment Tonight and should officially arrive online shortly thereafter. There is a "pirated" version of the preview making the rounds, but Disney is reportedly making efforts to squash the distribution of it.

In the film Captain Jack Sparrow must figure out how to pay back a blood debt he owes to the Davy Jones, ruler of the ocean depths and captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman. If he's unable to pay, he'll be cursed to eternal damnation. As you might expect, Captain Jack's problems complicate the wedding plans of the blissful Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, who quickly find themselves thrust back into Jack's misadventures.

Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush are all back for the sequel. They're joined by Stellan Skarsgard, Naomie Harris and Bill Nighy.

Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest docks in theaters on July 7.

Some great pics of the Davy Jones haunted ship from the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" have emerged from scooper 'Sprinter.'

Meanwhile a teaser trailer has already appeared online in a very crude rough copy Quicktime form mid-last week, showing off many scenes from the film with completed effect. However the hosting or linking to of said clip is illegal which is why you haven't seen it mentioned on any of the major entertainment news sites (some already have mentioned it but quickly pulled down the stories). In order to stop said pirated (no pun intended) clip from spreading around too much, Disney will hopefully release good quality versions sometime very soon.
