Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp Sailing on the Set of 'The Tourist'

In a batch of pictures taken from the movie set in Italy on Tuesday,
March 16, both stars are seen cruising together with a boat.
Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp have been snapped sharing a frame in "The Tourist" as the two were pictured shooting the film together at the Palazzo Pisani Moretta in Venice, Italy on Tuesday, March 16. Hopping on a boat, the 34-year-old beauty was seen wearing a white dress matched with cream-colored gloves and shoes, while the actor donned a black outfit paired with a coat.
In the film, Jolie stars as an Interpol agent who locates a criminal with whom she once had an affair. Her character will be entangled in a complicated relationship with Depp as he takes the role of an American tourist who is used by the female Interpol agent as a dupe to reach her goal.
This remake of 2005 French film entitled "Anthony Zimmer" has Florian
Henckel von Donnersmarck serving behind the lens with the script written
by Christopher McQuarrie, Jeffrey Nachmanoff as well as Julian Fellowes.
As of late, it was reported that Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewell have joined
the cast for this thriller which is slated for 2011 release

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp took to the canals of Venice as they continued filming in the city.
The Hollywood actors enjoyed a short cruise as they shot The Tourist.
But it could quite easily have been mistaken for something a bit more romantic.

Filming has been dogged by rumours that Depp's long-term partner is
unhappy with him filming love scenes with Angelina
Dressed in the beige outfit she has been seen in on numerous occasions,
Angelina, 34, smiled broadly as she rode beside Depp, 46, in a river taxi
oblivious to the rumours that his long-term partner is unhappy at the onscreen
pairing.
The new film centres around an American tourist named Frank Taylor, Depp, who is used by an Interpol agent, Cara Mason (Jolie), to help capture a criminal she once had an affair with.
The pair soon arrived at Venice's luxury Hotel Daniele, just a few steps away from the city's iconic Saint Mark's Square where the scene continued.

French singer Paradis is said to be unhappy that Depp and Jolie are set to film an intense love scene for the film which is based on one of crime novelist Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta novels.
Jolie, famously fell in love with co-star Brad Pitt while shooting Mr & Mrs Smith together.
But Depp told Hello! Magazine that he is excited to work with Angelina for the first time in his stellar career.
The father-of-two – who has lived with partner Vanessa Paradis since
1998 – described Angelina as a 'treat' when they met up to discuss the
project.

'She's serious about her work but she also loves her man and loves her kids – I was impressed by that,' he said.

And while the pair looked suitably close onscreen, as soon as filming was over Angelina left Depp and dashed off to catch up with her children.
After the day's filming, a smiling Angelina caught up with three-year old daughter, Shiloh. and five-year-old sister Zahara. Sons Pax and Maddox were also in tow.

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie were in Venice on Wednesday for the shooting of "The Tourist," a movie by Florian Henckel Von Donnersmarck, the director of German hit "The Lives of Others".
The two actors were seen in front of the Danieli Hotel, one of the ritziest
in the northern Italian city located right next to Saint Mark's square,
and cruising around Venice's channels in water taxis.

The actors began production on the thriller, a remake of 2005 French film Anthony Zimmer, in Paris, France in February (10) before moving to Venice earlier this month (Mar10) to continue shooting.
But according to TMZ.com, cameras had to stop rolling on Wednesday after
huge crowds of devotees showed up at the location, forcing producers to
wrap early due to safety concerns.

Today, production was shut down there because too many fans showed up trying to get pics. God knows what else will happen since cast and crew will be in Italy until the end of May. Little wonder why, already, the European distributor Studio Canal plans the biggest ever release on between 1,500 to 2,000 screens across Europe.
It's the first movie Studio Canal will go day-and-date across all three territories where it has operations: France, Germany and the UK. Although there’s no specific date yet, the thriller may be released as early as Christmas. The French company is keen to get behind The Tourist because it’s a remake of its own 2005 film, Anthony Zimmer. That, and it stars what’s surely the world’s hottest pairing right now:
Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. Sony Pictures will distribute The Tourist domestically, while producer Graham King’s GK Films is selling smaller territories. RAI Cinema has already taken the film for Italy. Depp plays an American tourist drawn into a web of intrigue by a female Interpol agent who’s tracking down a criminal who used to be her lover.
English screenwriter Julian Fellowes wrote the original screenplay.
American screenwriters Christopher McQuarrie (Valkyrie) and Jeffrey Nachmanoff
(Traitor) did the rewrites. The production history of this movie is as
convoluted as any thriller. Donnersmarck had previously dropped out of
directing The Tourist. At that point Sam Worthington was going to play
opposite Jolie. And Worthington only came on board after Tom Cruise
dropped out. Cruise was originally going to star opposite Charlize Theron
as the Interpol agent. And Bharat Nalluri was going to direct before Donnersmarck
took over. Blimey!

It was a day at sea for mega beauty Angelina Jolie and her co-star Johnny Depp! The duo spent the entire day shooting scenes on a massive speedboat in Venice, Italy for their upcoming film The Tourist.
The thriller, being directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, is slated to release sometime next year. Jolie plays a seductive Interpol agent who sleeps with unsuspecting American Tourist (played by Depp), to get rid of a criminal she was intimate with previously.
I’m not even an Angie fangirl but she looks almost ethereal in these shots!

Yesterday saw Johnny filming as well, though then he was joined by his similar-looking stunt double. Johnny and Angelina have occasionally been side by side on set during production of their movie, though it seems as though they also alternate days in front of the camera. The time off has given Angelina a chance to spend time out and about with her kids, as she and Brad show young Knox and Vivienne especially all the top sites of the city.

A couple of weeks ago, there was scuttlebutt around the internet that Johnny Depp’s girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis, (question: what do you call someone you live with and is the mother of your kids, but not your wife?) supposedly demanded that Depp drop out of THE TOURIST because she was afraid Angelina Jolie would steal her man. Well, so far there’s no truth to the rumor and Depp is still very much attached to the project and now he and Jolie will be joined by Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewell. The film is about an American man (Depp) that travels to Paris and is caught up with a mysterious woman (Jolie). Eventually, they become entangled in a world of danger.
The cast sounds great and I’m looking forward to this. Bettany
and Sewell will make good additions to the cast, which was already impressive.
The film is directed by Florian Henckel.

Vanessa Paradis is said to be unhappy at Johnny Depp's passionate sex scenes with co-star Angelina Jolie.
But it seems the actor has hit upon the perfect escape route from the brunette - jumping out of the window.
It was all in a day's work. The actor was filming dramatic scenes from
new movie The Tourist in Venice yesterday.

Depp and Jolie have been shooting for the past few weeks in the Italian city, but even after filming began Paradis was still trying to persuade her partner of 12 years to pull out of the project.
The mother of Depp's two children was reportedly disturbed at hearing he would be filming the scenes with Jolie, who fell in love with married co-star Brad Pitt while they were shooting Mr & Mrs Smith together.
Years earlier, Jolie started dating Billy Bob Thornton while the actor was said to have been engaged to actress Laura Dern.
