"Also making a surprise appearance was Johnny Depp, in full Captain
Jack Sparrow regalia, kohl-rimmed eyes and all. He amusingly finished each
of Dick Cook's sentences with "rum."
The star of the much-anticipated "Pirates" 2 and 3 was onstage for only a few minutes but the audience wildly applauded him as if he performed a full "Hamlet." That's good old Hollywood charisma, if you ask me."

So YES, there WILL be a CJS model in the POTC ride, and what's more, the ride will have a new corridor added to it, although the content of that corridor is TOP SECRET!!! But my manager friend told me that the Imagineering guy told him that CJS will be placed in the Auction corridor of the ride. (Aw, I was hoping for the jail scene!) But here's the BAD news: The ride won't be ready in time for the premiere. Now, read that carefully again: The ride won't be ready in time for the premiere. When I asked my manager friend if that means the premiere is definitely going to be at Walt Disney World-Orlando, he admitted nothing is contractual yet, but that's still the rumor. Apparently the Imagineering guy is building TWO Captain Jacks - one for Orlando and one for Anaheim, but I don't know about Anaheim for sure - that's only my own guess.
So I think we can still cross our fingers and if I hear more, I'll let you know!

(Note from Kazren: I do know about Anaheim. It won't be done
until 2007, and not only will we get Jack Sparrow, but other characters
from the films)
