Metro Station will be premiering their song from the “Almost Alice” Soundtrack tomorrow at 4pm PST using the new live broadcast software from Ustream called “Producer”.

Using this new software, Metro Station’s Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso will give fans a first listen of their new track “Where’s My Angel” from the forthcoming album ALMOST ALICE -- a companion to the ALICE IN WONDERLAND Original Motion Picture Soundtrack -- on Friday, January 29 at 4 pm Pacific Time. A live chat with the band will follow the song premiere.

MALLYMKUN, THE DORMOUSE (voice of Barbara Windsor) is a swashbuckling mouse in Underland who wears riding breeches. She refuses to believe that the White Rabbit has found the right Alice, the one who can help return Underland to its true splendor, and is only too happy to poke poor Alice in the ankle with a hat pin when Alice insists she’s only dreaming. But the tough little mouse comes through in a pinch when Alice is threatened by a clawing creature called a Bandersnatch. Her loyalty to the Hatter is unmatched, and she willingly faces the prospect of death to stand by him.

TMCTWISP, THE WHITE RABBIT (voice of Michael Sheen) is always late, always in a hurry, always rushing about. Charged with finding Alice and bringing her back to Underland so that she can fulfill her destiny, he shows up at her garden party in an effort to lure her back down the rabbit hole. “He’s a warm character,” says Sheen, “but, at the same time, he can be quite fussy and quite strict with Alice as well. He has an edge to him, a nervous energy, always feeling like he’s behind time. Time is very important to him, but he’s quite brave when called upon.”

ABSOLEM, THE CATERPILLAR (voice of Alan Rickman) is the all-knowing and absolute guardian of the Oraculum, an ancient document that depicts every major event, past, present and future, in Underland’s history. Alice is taken by the White Rabbit and the Tweedles to meet Absolem, so that he can ascertain whether she is, in fact, the real Alice who first visited Underland as a child, the Alice who is destined to help them. They find the bulbous blue caterpillar atop a mushroom in a mushroom forest surrounded by misty smoke. Several times Absolem challenges Alice to come to a better understanding of herself, forcing her to face the difficult question: “Who are you?”

Movie preview 2010: Hollywood rolls out remakes and sequels
By Susan Wloszczyna, USA TODAY
Alice in Wonderland, Clash of the Titans, Iron Man 2, The Karate Kid and a Meet the Fockers sequel are heading to theaters in 2010.
Alice in Wonderland, March 5
Director:Tim Burton
Stars:Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway

The story: Feeling out of place among the Victorian society types at her own engagement party, 19-year-old Alice (Wasikowska of TV's In Treatment) runs away and finds herself tumbling down a rabbit hole — the same one she fell into as a child. On the other side, she reacquaints herself with Wonderland's bizarre citizens, including the Mad Hatter (Depp), the Cheshire Cat (voice of Stephen Fry) and the Caterpillar (voice of Alan Rickman).

What's new: "This is a classic coming-of-age tale," says producer Richard Zanuck of the script by Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King). "In other versions, Alice is an onlooker walking through a freak show. These aren't freaks. They are personable and understandable." Adds fellow producer Joe Roth, "The story, by nature, is usually episodic. But Linda found an engine to drive it." Even Alice's passive persona has been recharged. "The Disney cartoon presents her as quite girlish and frilly and sort of uptight in a British way," Zanuck adds. "But here she puts on armor to do battle."

The technology gives visual whiz Burton new tools to play with, combining motion-capture, CG and live action, then transferring it all into 3-D. "It's the most complicated film that Tim has done by far. You've never seen a creation quite like Helena's Red Queen before."

Why it's worth a revisit: Who wouldn't want to see Johnny Depp in three dimensions with a Carrot Top coif and kaleidoscope eyes?

Depp talks Mad Hatter & New Looks at Disney’s Wonderland
January 21st, 2010 by Jay Tomio

We are getting closer and closer to the March 5th release of the Disney and Tim Burton 3-D presentation of Alice in Wonderland, and we now have a new featurette from the Magic Kingdom with one of the film’s star, Johnny Depp, offering commentary to scenes that feature his character, the Mad Hatter (we got a look of him earlier this month as well). Also released via YahooMovies are new stills from the film exposing more of that trademark Burton visual/style sense that makes him rather unique in his field as a designer.

The trailers and clips look pretty amazing, and there have been several released thus far including this teaser from last summer, October’s trailer, and December’s new trailer. Among those joining Depp in Burton’s Wonderland are Mia Wasikowska in the title role, Anne Hatheway as the White Queen, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Michael Sheen as the White Rabbit, Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Crispin Glover (Knave of Hearts), Stephen Fry (Cheshire Cat) and Alan Rickman (Caterpillar). We’ve also seen several promo images, including this fun 3-piece various images of Alice, and sets including character poster and landscape.

BSC has been covering Alice in Wonderland since last March, when Disney’s D-23 debuted images (their quarterly magazine) from the film. In related news, earlier this week it was reported that Tim Burton may next take on and give new life to a Sleeping Beauty adaptation called Maleficent, telling the story from the perspective of classical/historical antagonist in another Disney production.

From Disney
UNDERLAND, says screenwriter Linda Woolverton, is a part of the earth. "But it lies somewhere far beneath our world. The only way to get there is to fall down a rabbit hole." It is the same fantastical land that Alice visited as a child, but she misheard the word "Underland" and thought they said "Wonderland." Alice, now age 19, heads back down the rabbit hole and though she has no memory of her previous adventures in Underland, she is reunited with its inhabitants, including a swashbuckling Dormouse, an off-his-rocker Mad Hatter, a grinning Cheshire Cat, a caterpillar called Absolem, a beautiful White Queen and her spiteful older sister the Red Queen. "Time has passed," says Woolverton. "The Red Queen rules the whole land. It's under her thumb. And the people of Underland need Alice." Underland has come upon hard times since the malevolent Red Queen took over the throne. It is, however, a truly wonderful land, which might explain why the girl who mistook it for Wonderland has been called upon to help return it to its glory. But, says Woolverton, "Underland has always been Underland since the Beginning, no matter who sits on the throne. It will remain Underland until the End."

Avril Lavigne's New Song From 'Alice in Wonderland' to Arrive in March

January 09, 2010 03:00:29 GMT

'Alice Underground' is the title of Avril Lavigne's new track which is picked up as the theme song for movie starring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter.

This March, a brand new track performed by Avril Lavigne will be revealed. Titled "Alice Underground", the song is confirmed to serve as one of the soundtracks for Tim Burton's upcoming movie "Alice in Wonderland".

Official statement regarding question whether or not the song will be included in Avril's fourth studio album is yet to be made. But, she indeed has been working hard for the past few months to finish her new album which is yet to be titled.

Back in July 2009, Avril Lavigne gave Entertainment Weekly first listen to two new materials from the upcoming release. Explaining what she penned, she said at that time, "I'm not trying to write a perfect pop song. I'm just trying to write a song that's honest right now, even if something sounds weird or a lyric might not make sense to someone."

"Alice in Wonderland" itself will be released in Disney Digital 3-D in the U.S. on March 5, 2010. Mia Wasikowska takes the titular character while senior actor Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter. Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter also join the cast ensemble to portray the White Queen and the Red Queen respectively.
